clean up landing page for when logged out (i.e., for random surfer) #173

feels like the signup button should be seconded to the login button in the top-right of the header. then perhaps lower slightly and center the search box that is now in the header? also, only have a single bionet logo. top left is fine. perhaps if we want to be fancy keep a muted backdrop that is the network graphic currently shown above.

just posted a potential/example mockup of what i was imagining. doesn't have to be exactly like this, but looking for something simple, clean, and welcoming.
