This pull request addresses issue #10 as not all the demos had an alpha rarefaction demos. Also updates some tests to actually check for the demo files.

I've solved the conflicts that raised when merging pull request #22. I have tested it and it seems to be working though manual conflict solving is sometimes tricky so, please check everything is working properly with your installation guys.
