BTW in case it helps, Emperor has something like this with their menu:
Sometimes I find myself wanting to have more space to look at a tree or at a PCoA, but because the dividing line between Empress and Emperor is consistently halfway across the screen (... and because my laptop screen is relatively small) I have a hard time with this.
It'd be nice to be able to click and drag the border in the middle of the screen to either side to resize it. I imagine this would work pretty similarly to how Emperor's side panel can be resized by dragging.
