this is sooo absurd, let's just remove pycodestyle, since it seems to be giving nonsense results now.

Removing tests for visualizations -- this is something that we won't be able to maintain moving forward.

Since this is largely a maintenance PR, I'm going to merge this in. More updates on new features soon.
