Current progress:

• Several team members have gotten a successful ADC reading from the moisture sensor using an Arduino
• Shobini has gotten the wireless module connected to her home network

Goal for next week:

• Create the Github repo for ongoing work
• Connect the wireless module to a local network (home or other) and send an HTTP request (anywhere)

Future Goals:

• Connect wireless module to local network, read ADC value, send ADC value via HTTP request
• Create / update web application for the monitoring interface
• Move the wireless modules to a separate private wireless network
• Enhance the web application (as time permits)

Current progress:

• Web server setup on ESP module (not going this route, but good work!)
• Web module flash issue worked out for Jaitra
• Kevin, Jaitra, and Shobini have all familiarized with the module code

Goal for next week:

• Make an HTTP POST request to the existing server code http://<server_ip>/saturation/ with the message {"sensorVal": data1}
• Install Postman and play around with the existing server
• (On wireless module): Average 10 readings with 1 second between, then send a single HTTP POST request, every minute

• Wireless module code is updated to be a client (not server)

• PR for the current wireless module code
• Make a POST to the Express server running on a laptop

  • Delete old "LiveServer" version
  • Rename to WirelessModule.ino
  • Add the averaging of 10, 1 second samples and transmit average value once per minute to Express server

  • Add support for n sensors (currently hardcoded to support a single sensor)
  • Add information about time stamp from last reported value
  • Think about adding a database
