Description

The mission of MediaDive is to transform poorly structured media recipes into a standardized database. The contents of the database include mined thousands of PDF and HTML documents. To ensure the quality of the media and continous improvement of the database, we developed an internal editor interface. Experts at the DSMZ are creating new media and curating the existing media using this interface.

Additional Comments

  1. I'm not affiliated with this resource
  2. Mediadive also has IDs for ingredients, solutions, so I am requesting a mediadive.medium to leave things open for this

We (cc @realmarcin) will contact the maintainers and have them approve any course of action, this issue is just to get things started

In the PR, I added contact and license information as well as new entries for the other mediadive prefixes.

The strain vocabulary in MediaDive actually from the https://bioregistry.io/registry/dsmz collection, which I updated to include additional context. The only tricky bit is the MediaDive pages like https://mediadive.dsmz.de/strains/view/DSM%201 use spaces instead of dashes. This is the classic subspacing problem (see discussion at #133). We could potentially mint a subspace for DSM (microorgamism cell lines) as dsmz.dsm if we need a specific one for this, but let's have that discussion as a follow-up. Maybe we could instead ask them to fix the URLs on the site to make this consistent
