apologies the software is in the mids of refactoring, the correct link is:

the book has been updated.

(the bio package is not yet ready for prime time, some changes will occur, but it will be a linchpin of the third Edition and will be used this Fall)

with bio a whole slew of tedious operations will be streamlined (looking up taxonomies, gene ontologies, sequence ontology terms, alignment etc) so that we can focus on interpretation rather than arcane commandds
