See https://github.com/ohsu-computational-biology/bioschemas/pull/1#issuecomment-261588118 Is it necessary to retain snapshot in repo?

Now that I better understand the structure of this repo, I think the snapshot is possibly the most important part of this repo. If the purpose of this repo is to aggregate disparate schemas into a central repo with clear documentation, then that seems like what the snapshot is doing.

The "schemas" directory in the root confused me; it's not actually schemas, it's more like dependencies. I clicked that expecting to see protobuf files but got unknown project files instead. I think I was expecting to find the snapshot. Does that make sense?

If so, I think "schemas" should be renamed to "dependencies" and "bioschemas/snapshot" should be moved to "schemas". Would that break python packaging though?

instead of "schemas" how about "source" or "references"?
