Should the icons from this thread be included in the SVN as standard?

I don't think so. It's a customisation beyond what Eve contains. I think the 
basic EDK 
should not change what we get from Eve. Eve is the starting point. I think it 
is great 
as a mod/image pack, though. I'm glad someone's doing it.
