Calibrationtool 2.0.2 camera image frozen #2

Hi Darress,
I finally got the pair on my notebook but using the external BT USB adapter
Belkin and WIN XP SP3. I used your Pairing Connecting Instructions and
temporarily disabled the firewall. With only two attempts I got the pair. I
still have problems with the internal BT.
I used Eye drive and your calibrationtool 2.0.2 and I have calibrated my MOVE,
but after 3 or 4 seconds the camera image frozen and the coordinates x, y and z
are no longer updated. The accelerometers, gyroscopes and magnetometers
continue to be updated.
I have the wrong settings?

Thanks for your help.

Silvano.

P.S. I tried on my old PC (Win7 32 bit SP1)and I had the same problem

Hi Silvano,
I had similar problems while developing the image processing algorithm that
tries to find the contour of the ball. And sometimes the alg. stuck while
searching. Can you please send me a camera image while stuck? It might be
because of the your room is brighter, or has such colors I couldnt test. Please
also try the calibration tool in darkness.
If this helps, I will try to improve the algorithm to work with your lighting
conditions. I also will make a special log, so that I can see why it doesnt
work.

Hi Darress,
I made some tests and the time before freezing is increased by setting
Ogre Rendering Engine on OpenGL and decreasing the amount of light in the room.
Under the best condition the time before freezing is about 15 seconds.
See attached files (camera image and Ogre settings).
I can still do other tests.

Thanks

Silvano.

Thank you for your response. I uploaded a new version of the Calibration Tool,
please check if it works, and please report.

I hope it solved your problem. If not, I will make a detailed log system, that
I can find the cause with.

Hi Darress,
I have tested your new version of the Calibration Tool but it seems nothing has
changed. The image freezes again after a few seconds. Sometimes the image is
frozen at the start.
Thanks
Silvano

Hi! my situation is a little different. on 2.02, camera freezes after a few
minutes. tried 2.0.3 seems the camera is working well (after ~20 minutes no
problem so far), but orientation is not working, shows "Orient.: 1.1." with the
second number in blue color.

have to look into the code and see what's going on. but great work!!!! finally
a good solution for the PC.

Hi Darress,

First, I should say 'thank you for your great work'. It is really helpful for
my project.

Anyway, I had similar symptoms like above. image freezing in the calibration
tool,
and when using the library in my application, position data stops being updated
in a minute while orientation and button data is being updated well.

But, after I changed two files-CLEyeMulticam.dll, CLEyeMulticam.h-to the newest
ones,
it seems work well for quite long time.
(it worked properly over 10 minutes although i couldn't test it thoroughly)

I'm not sure if this is a real solution to the problem, but I hope this
information will be helpful
to anyone interested.

I've tested it on my Windows 7(64bit) pc and the library was built from the
source as a 32bit binary.

other pc it always works.) So I will be able to solve this. Again sorry, but I
dont have the time now, but I will make it as soon as I can.

I finally had the time to test and the problem was really the old CL Eye
driver. I used the old driver, because CryEngine crashed with the new, but now
I updated it with the new release with other changes. Enjoy!

If you still have this problem, please report it and I reopen the issue.
