unable to load mani admin because of nonexistant tier0_i486.so

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. install dedicated tf2 server on linux
2. verify start (ok here)
3. install metamod source
4. verify metamod installed (meta version->ok)
5. install mani admin 
6. start server to verify installation 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
at server load i see
Unable to load plugin "addons/mani_admin_plugin/bin/mani_admin_plugin_mm"
then i try: 
meta load addons/mani_admin_plugin/bin/mani_admin_plugin_mm
Failed to load plugin addons/mani_admin_plugin/bin/mani_admin_plugin_mm
(tier0_i486.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory).

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

sorry forgot to mention plugin versions,
basically they are the versions that i downloaded from their sites this morning
(21.05.2010) stable in any case

I followed your instructions and mani loaded fine no problem. I tested this on 
Ubuntu
10.04 32 BIT and the mods used are: Metamod 1.8.1 and Mani 1.2BetaU (21/05/10)

i just redid everything, started from scratch, still get this when i try to 
load mani
admin

Failed to load plugin addons/mani_admin_plugin (tier0_i486.so: cannot open

it does not seem to load automatically with the server even if the vdf is there 
correctly

you seem to have tried the beta version, what i was trying the whole time was 
the
stable version, will try beta now.

it loads correctly if i use metaplugins.ini and point it to the .so file in the 
bin
directory of mani.

vdf did not load it...
