Next year's Bitcoin 2023 Conference will take place in May, launched by Bitcoin Magazine They've offered to sponsor ideas to promote bisq on the conference.

Right now they are thinking of doing different things with mempool and we will have to think of ideas to stand out there. The budget is not yet clear so please feel free to comment anything that you think could help us get more people to join bisq. Here are some thoughts:

• Idea 1: A square on one of the rooms painted green on the floor and walls with the bisq logo and someone there with an order book taking f2f offers. The only way to make a trade is to "enter the green square" and make a "deposit" which we can do in an illustrative way of sorts. We could have the whole trading process but that might be a little more complex. So once a user goes in, he chooses the f2f offer and is able to deposit cash and get btc sent to their btc address.

I would project the Bisq order book live on a big wall and do a live demo of a trade, atomic swap, Bisq Easy, F2F trade, etc... At the same time explaining how Bisq protects user privacy, funds, etc...

We could program a liquidity event to coincide with the conference... maybe kickstart some new markets, payment methods live... Livestream the presentation so that remote participants can see their new offers appear in front of the audience. Have a commentator talk about the new markets, offers, payment methods, etc..

Of course it would be a perfect opportunity to showcase Bisq Easy, Bisq 2, any new stuff... The combination of a mobile app with the big screen to promote user participation is always great. You can spend all day getting conf attendees to stop by, download the app and complete a trade.

This is the draft for initial budget (NOT ACTUAL BUDGET) and plans for the booth set up. There will be able to educate and onboard new users by getting them to buy Bitcoin with cash right there on the conference. Please give this a 👍 if you like the idea and would vote in favor for a DAO compensation. .

If the person who supervise the trades is the same who sell to guests, he will receive an equal amount of fiat or alts in exchange. Is this part of the compensation for the person at the space?

SUMMARY OF BITCOIN 2023

The bisq square booth was a success, the organisation gave us the best spot right next to the huge Bitcoin inflatable coin and right next to all the Bitcoin Games were a lot of people gathered each day. We had non-stop people coming over, hardcore fans but also just some newbies wanting to know what bisq was about. We taught people throughout the 3 days about bisq using a demo on one screen and had another video running on the other on a loop. Shoutout to @salokiam for helping during these 3 days. Also shoutout to @jmacxx for always being available and helping us for a few ours to get the demo started.

The objective was to sell people Bitcoin using cash (face to face trades) and so I ended up selling over 2.000 USD for Bitcoin over the 3 days.

Online engagement reached +40k views

+10 devs learnt about bisq and seemed keen in contributing.

Overall we made some noise and hopefully that played a role in Jack Mallers, Adam Back and Matt Odell giving bisq a shoutout on the last panel of the conference.
