Mac Error: "Can't open database file wallet.dat" #10

Fatal error on Mac (El Capitan).

"Can't open database file wallet.dat"

For anyone else, this is most likely do to not having Bitcoin Core installed on your Mac. Cannot verify at the moment since I do not have enough free space on my Mac do download the Bitcoin Blockchain.

This could also be due to me just being low on hard drive space and not being able to download the Bitconnect Blockchain. If so, there should be some better error handling. Still unable to confirm the real problem and this point.

Hi! I had the same error with the MacOS version and there is a simple solution. The wallet.dat file is missing altogether from a bad install.

Find a windows version and extract the wallet.dat file from it.

Place the file in your ~Library/Application Support/bitconnect folder (in Finder, hold option and click 'Go' to access).

It will say out of sync for what seems an eternity. Patience, leave the app open. If you already sent coins they will show up after sync.

It will take 15 days for your deposit to mature, you do not have to keep the wallet open.
