Hi,

I hope you are THE bitdomo from this post:

https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64023143&postcount=10

If no, I'm sorry to bother you.

If yes: I read at this post, that you successfully tested this procedure with your own Nexus 5. I would gently ask you to provide this image you use to reset your baseband-settings at your Nexus hammerhead. Several users on xda got this issue with the hammerhead and maybe you could post your image at xda too to help them?

If you do not want to provides this image, I would still thank you for your help with 5X and 6. Several users seems to have those baseband-error.

Best regards

Benni

Linage Os rom has this fix already. So when you enter the band mode selection in the ##4636## all bands are available including the automatic mode

Thanks for this advice. This worked for me. I could select automatic mode but I'm still on Edge and could not get any connection to UMTS. May I have to search on. But thanks a lot.

If you happen to have an efs back up then restore it. It would revert any changes you made after playing with the select band menu.

I bought the device with this error month ago. Weeks before I googled this error and found out, this could be a software error. After checking baseband and only got USA Baseband I realized, this setting may leads to this error. From the beginning I only get 2G. Meanwhile I replaced both antennas, but I still get 2G only. May something on board is broken and could not be fixed with software.

Hi again,

I recognized a strange behavior. With Lineage OS I could "change" Baseband to Auto, but after installing StockROM again, only USA Band is showing. I think this "Baseband-Change" under Lineage OS has no effect. I still get no 3G and only 2G and I thought it is maybe a hardware error. But after seeing USA Band is the only one under Stock Rom after changing Basband with Lineage I think it is indeed a software bug. May you have any further advise?

Hi,

is there any chance you upload your ROM for Nexus 5 again, so I can check if this works for me? Changes under Lineage OS does not seem to be persistent.

I dont have the rom anymore. Also these changes you make in the band select menu was never permanent for nexus 5 whether you are using stock rom or linage os.

Your device probably has a hardware fault or the efs got corrupted by an imei change. The originial imei is printed on the main logic board somewhere. If that does not matches the current imei when you dial *#06# then the phone you currently have is stolen or someone tried an efs repair before. Also Linage Os do the same thing what I did for nexus 5x 6 6p and pixel.

Back up your current efs Copy the backup to your pc Try this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3lGxQkNaMg Download link in description. Everything you need to rebuild a working efs is inside the rar file.

If everything stays the same then you have a hardware problem.
