Canvas Navigation:

What do you need to do?
incremental zoom using keys

How would you like to do it?

preferably +/- , but anything customizable works too. Most FOSS graphics 
programs zoom like this natively.

Brush Scaling:

On canvas scaling

How would you like to do it?

Like Krita, ctrl-drag to scale brushes on canvas is awesome.

Edit: Krita on canvas brush scaling is Shift-drag, not ctrl-drag.
