Yup, I also noticed this problem. Have been investigating for some time with no luck so far. Disabling regenerative braking is not an option IMO. Is there a way to turn the braking force down a little bit? I remember it was possible in blheli, but not in blheli_s.
Hi all, this is not my discovery but I noticed an issue has not been made yet.
It looks like there is a peculiar phenomenon when using small 0603 motors, braking is constantly being applied! It appears a 0603 19000kv motor is effected but a 0802 19000kv motor is not.
In provided the links someone has built a custom firmware version with braking disabled and it appears to confirm that a 30% efficiency gain can be made if this issue could be resolved. It would be amazing if this could be fixed as the 0603 motor size is very popular with brushless whoops now.
Has anyone looked into this or have any ideas why this might be happening?
