Looking for Tape State... #100

I've looked but I can't find a status for the Tape Operation State. I have found that this was done in the X32 series, as part of Feature Request: Tape Operation Feedback & Variable #43.

While all of the X32 series can record/playback from USB, only the X12 and X16 Air series have that feature. I have an X18, which does not support it, so I have no way to test.

Pardon me, as I come from this with a lack of knowledge of the protocols of the two units. I did a little research (shown below), and it seems the same OSC commands are used on the M/X32? I'd be more than happy to assist with testing operation, but I also know that is not ideal, so I understand is that's not your cup of tea.

Research: https://behringer.world/wiki/doku.php?id=x-air_osc refers to /-stat/tape/state as OSC commands

https://github.com/bitfocus/companion-module-behringer-x32/issues/93 also has the same reference to /-stat/tape/state and also has the same 0-6 order as the above

=== As a side note to other readers; while waiting for news, I worked up a poor man's workaround, where I created a button as follows:

Step 1, where I do Tape Operation/Record, and then unmute ch16 (I have the XR12) Step 2, is Tape Operation/Stop and Mute CH16.
Feedback is from the Ch16 mute state, color coded as appropriate.

Yes, as a soundman best practice, even though it's a dead channel, some might wish to reverse the mute state from above. In my case, 85% of my recording is on an external unit, and this recording only serves as a backup for special situations.

I have all of the protocols and commands. I do not have a way to test these since my XR18 is the only model that does NOT support USB recording.
