Truncation of variables with apostrophe #12

I had a show today, a multi-year class reunion to be specific. So, when folks showed-up and renamed themselves in Zoom, their names ended up longer than normal and also often included apostrophes (Jeff Widgren - '84 Kansas City). The problem was that either the length or apostrophe blew my StreamDeck/ZoomOSC functionality up. The buttons no longer spotlighted, etc. Yes, I was referencing by Name. Also, the more complex names didn't show-up completely in the drop-down list, they were truncated at the apostrophe. When I renamed one of the long names that had included an apostrophe, I removed the apostrophe and shortened the name, then the spotlighting started working again. I run ZoomOSC on a Mac.

It's whatever character one would type when shortening a year to the last two digits. The user typed it, I just noticed the truncation in the dropdown in the Spotlight User list.

Andy Carluccio's thoughts:

first guess is that you ran up into a single quote versus an apostrophe. I've seen companion get those mixed up when typing into it. macos does a lot of smart quote optimization

It appears to also occur when a slash is included in the username, such as Andy Carluccio (he/him)
