"Slide Triggered" Flood Causing Freezing #171

Describe the bug/issue When connection is made to another machine running ProPresenter there is an instant flood of instances of a Slide Triggered that locks down Companion and eventually kills ProPresenter. This only happens when 2 machines are present in the connections.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Connect ProPresenter (Screens) machine inside Companion connections
  2. Connect ProPresenter (Broadcast) machine machine inside Companion connections
  3. Launch ProPresenter on (Screens) machine
  4. Launch ProPresenter on (Broadcast) machine

Expected behavior Normal connection without a flood of instances repeating infinitely.

*Any Other Context This issue has occurred on the last several updates for both PP7 and Companion. Have wiped both computers and reinstalled from scratch. I have commented on another post that had the same issue ( #145 ) but haven't got a response. I have tried multiple versions of Companion and PP7.

This has been confirmed as a bug in regards to the announcement layer (thank you @hendrikmalgo): https://github.com/bitfocus/companion-module-renewedvision-propresenter/issues/145#issuecomment-1710539454
