ProPresenter7 Module disconnecting 2.4.2+ [BUG] #179

Open austinbordelon opened 7 months ago

austinbordelon commented 7 months ago

Is this a bug in companion itself or a module?

Is there an existing issue for this?

Describe the bug

Anytime I upgrade to any release newer than 2.4.2 my ProPresenter7 Module constantly disconnects and reconnects. In the newest 3.2 release it will connect but when you go to edit the module it times out every time.

2.4.2 doesn't work for me either I should add. It stays connected, however, I have to disable and re enable the module for every action I take.

I am running ver 2.3 with almost zero issues, connection to Propresenter 7.15, haven't tried anything between 2.3 to 3.0. I have tried 3.0 and above, and it has issues connecting to two different mac's running Pro 7.15

Having a similar issue. Running Pro7 7.14.1 and Companion 3.2.0 on Mac OS 12.7.1. Companion will either not connect, or if it does, disconnect after running a single command.

Change "Type of presentation info requests" from automatic to manual. This fixed my module's constant disconnect issues.

Companion: 3.2.2 ProPres: 7.16.1

Thanks, @DrEVILish , this worked for me

Companion: 3.1.2 ProPres: 7.16.2

@DrEVILish post fixed the issue for me. Edit the propresenter connection in Companion, the setting is 3/4 the way down the page and save.
