This feature will enable users of the J-Tech Digital 8x16 HDbT Matrix to control inputs/outputs of the matrix using Companion. I believe this feature would be valuable for those using this matrix in their A/V installs and easily access the inputs/outputs options around their install.
Is this platform-dependent (windows, mac, ..)?
No, it shouldn't be.

I have found that the AVIShop Matrix uses a similar HTTP-based web interface for switching. I would think the process for making this one work would be very similar.
