LibreOffice Impress is an open source Presentation software.

What you would like to be able to make it do from Companion. transition_next, transition_previous, goto_slide

Direct links or attachments to the ethernet control protocol or API. Without this, it can be very difficult, and in some cases, impossible to fulfill your request. https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/Impress_Remote_Protocol I did some light investigation with Packet Sender, and it seems to require a persistent TCP connection.
