Describe the feature • Monitoring of the Sennheiser Evolution Wireless G4 Microphones https://en-uk.sennheiser.com/wireless-half-rack-receiver-em-300-500-g4

Is this platform dependent (windows, mac, ..)? No

If documentation is required to implement, do you know where to find it?Media control protocols provided by Sennheiser https://assets.sennheiser.com/global-downloads/file/13001/AN_1260_v1.0_Media_Control_Systems_EN.pdfMedia control protocol description** https://assets.sennheiser.com/global-downloads/file/12478/TI_1254_MetroMediensteuerung_ewG4_EN.pdf

Usecases • Being able to monitor Sennheiser Evolution Wireless G4 Microphones features such as if the microphone was on and also if the microphone was muted or not would be very helpful.

@AJTaylor79 monitoring (we call them "feedbacks" in Companion) only? Are there any actions you would want to be able to perform from Companion? Does the protocol support any actions or only monitoring?

AJTaylor79 commented 3 years ago

I only am really interested in receiving the feedback into Companion, the protocol supports both actions and monitoring however the only thing most people would be interested in is feedback information such as the following;

I have just been looking at the amazing Shure module that someone has built, I am really impressed with the "shure-wx: Channel Status Display" and didn't realise something like this was even possible. It would be great if something similar was available for the Sennheiser to mimic the display on the evolution series.

I second this, a way to see channel status and particularly battery level would be highly appreciated. The evolution receiver sends regular updates over UDP containing all the interesting info.
