Hi All,

Really need a dev to write or update a module for samsung digital signage screens, my setup is nearly complete and this would be the icing on the cake.

Please assist...

dnmeid commented 1 year ago

Samsung has a huge amount of different screens with different protocols. Please be more specific which screens you want to be controlled and which functions you want to be able to control. If possible attach a link to the the protocol specification or any relevant documentation.

@sodzgoogle The module you want allready exists, but it currently only supports power on and off. I transfered the issue here. This module is very old and very basic. Before any updates can be made, it needs to be converted to v3 format. If you can't find someone to update and add your commands, I'm available for paid work.

Hi @dnmeid

Thanks for responding, sure how realistic can all the commands be updated specifically the screenshare?

Also what are the charges?

Regards

dnmeid commented 1 year ago

@sodzgoogle if you you mean switching to the WiDi/screen mirroring input with "screenshare", then all your commands can be realized 100%. The MDC protocol is documented quite well. I do not have a Samsung MDC sceen here, so testing would be more complicated task of sending alpha versions and you report if it is working until it is working.

Regarding the price please contact me by email

Hallo @dnmeid I'm also looking for these functionalities in this particular companion module. Have you already done the programming? Kind Regards
