for the power on and off a mode has to be enabled on the tv:
does this change any thing? also I might have swaped on and off around so try both xD
I'd have to pull my old Crestron code for the Sharp to confirm, but I seem to recall (over RS-232, but the commands seem the same) that a keep alive would need to be sent to the unit every 60 seconds or so. And technically it wasn't a keep alive but a command to tell the unit to accept remote control temporarily. Unless I'm thinking of Samsungs that required that ... haven't done TVs in a long while.
Everything works except the power on/off command (which we need most). I have included the protocols too. This is for a Sharp Aquos, so that may be the problem. Sharp TV .pdf
