Add RS232 support #16

Is it possible to add the possibility of sending Visca command via a local RS232 port?

Take a look at the generic-tcp-serial module.

Add a generic-tcp-serial module, configure the RS232 port, set the IP port. Then add the Visca module, set the IP to 127.0.0.1 and the IP port to match the other module.

I have tried to do this but with no success. The camera is connected using the serial port on the same pc that is running companion. Do I use the IP address for the PC?

I used the settings but with the PTZ optics Visca and it worked. No joy with the Sony Visca
