I was setting up an Atem Mini 32 button pages. Every time I wanted to undo a toggle on other buttons, Companion would have hiccups and at times crash. If we could assign a set of buttons to a group then just have one internal command to release any in that group that are toggled on then that would be great.
Companion could keep track of any buttons in a group that are pressed. Then when a second button in that group is pressed, Companion would know which one other button to release.
That may save the redundant releases sent to all button in the group.
So each group has one button that can be pressed at a time. And at most one button to release.
I know this is an old bug but it would be great to see this on the roadmap.
I use Companion to control a HDMI matrix switcher which handles my PC monitors. It'd be good to have the button active output preset highlighted on the Companion screen.
Describe the feature A grouping/tagging feature would buttons would be amazing. Additionally it would be necessary to have a button function "press ( & release ) group" which would trigger all buttons of a certain group. This could also allow to change designs of all buttons within a group at once or even add certain actions (like feedback) to all buttons of a group at once.
Usecases Especially useful for audio related scenarios. e.g. a button that triggers the group "Mics" to mute all Mics
Also it would allow to search for tagged/grouped buttons if there is a search function implemented in the future.
