Bitfocus Companion enables the reasonably priced Elgato Streamdeck and other controllers to be a professional shotbox surface for an increasing amount of different presentation switchers, video playback software and broadcast equipment.
Companion functions: USB-connected control surface e.g. for vMix audio or other digital mixers already supported by Companion. X-Touch conforms to the MCU (Mackie Control Protocol) in USB mode. X-Touch has motorized faders, rotary encoders with feedback, LCD scribble strips, VU meters, timecode display and jog wheel among many features for input and direct visual feedback. X-Touch has also Fader bank switches for multiple fader sets similarly to Streamdeck pages.
What you would like to be able to make it do from Companion: Use case: X-Touch and Streamdeck connected to CompanionPi which is controlling vMix video and audio production over network. Central Control app can be alternatively used on production machine, but the ability for controlling production centralized with Companion would be highly desirable. (X-Touch also enables simultanous connection via Ethernet to Behringer digital mixers, which is switchable with one button in device.)
