Bitfocus Companion enables the reasonably priced Elgato Stream Deck and other controllers to be a professional shotbox surface for an increasing amount of different presentation switchers, video playback software and broadcast equipment.
Is this a feature relevant to companion itself, and not a module?
[X] I believe this to be a feature for companion, not a module
Is there an existing issue for this?
[X] I have searched the existing issues
Describe the feature
The enhanced examples would include screenshots (or permit copy/paste) examples to better describe how to use Functions & Expressions. Yes, the documentation talks about simple expressions, etc.. but they don't appear to actually work with my custom variables, so I must assume that I'm doing something incorrectly.
Clearly just copying & pasting "includes("Companion is great!", "great") gives true" into a button label doesn't do anything.
I would like to see screenshots of live examples of how the variable functions are actually called/leveraged within Companion
