I'm also experiencing this issue. Not much else to add– I'll grab the reports and crash logs on request, but I assume the above 2 are adequate since I'm on the same versions as OP and don't want to clutter up the thread.
I'll add, anecdotally, that I've attempted multiple ways around killing off all processes and restarting eqMac to no benefit. Restarting my iMac allows it to work again, with it set to open as a Login Item.
The pattern seems to be that eqMac works as expected after restarting my computer, but as soon as I use any audio/video apps in fullscreen mode– watching a movie in Apple TV or playing Stadia in Google Chrome– eqMac crashes. It blinks on screen momentarily when you try to launch/bring to front, or it becomes unresponsive and gets stuck in the spinner.

Thanks! Collapsed it to make the thread more readable.
I had this problem until I set eqMac in Login Items. Fingers crossed it STAYS working bc I love using this app to control volume through my hdmi connections.
Finally found a solution. I wanted to delete eqMac data manually, went to ~/Library/Caches
and discovered, that there were two different directories:
Deleted the first one and eqMac started working again.
So there is something conflicting between caches of two different versions.
Fixing this would probably be a waste of time, should be mentioned in migration guide.
Thanks for being patient with me. I have just released v1.0.0. You can download it here: https://github.com/bitgapp/eqMac/releases/tag/v1.0.0 Or from the website: https://eqmac.app Could you please let me know if this issue is still present. Thanks again.

Hey everyones, I think this issue was resolved a while ago and I forgot to provide some kind of update to this. The latest release should be pretty stable. I will be closing this issue for now, unless someone suggests otherwise. Thank you for your patience :)
Unfortunately this issue still persists for me. Tried all the solutions listed above, but only an empty window is displayed. I only have com.bitgapp.eqmac
in my cashes folder.
MacOs Ventura.

Describe the bug
Updated to the latest Catalina version today (from 10.15.4 to 10.15.5).
In the newest Catalina version, when trying to open application, then the window opens for 0.2 seconds and closes automatically.
This is the only application I am experiencing problems with.

Removing USB-C preamp didn't work. At this point I had it set to speakers mode.
