Is there still no fix for this? I'm not renewing my subscription is this is still an issue. I can't quit and reopen this app all day, depending on whether or not I am going to use video chat. The mic also does not work when doing tele-health through providers' web portals.

Can someone confirm if this is still an issue with 1.8.7? There was a fix in one of previous updates, or more of a workaround and on our end it works, but some people reported that it still does not work for them, but less than before.

This may be more related to how individual apps for calls work as some use certain macOS APIs for calls which may be lowering the volume (depending on selected output device) to avoid feedback loop or similar issues between microphone and output device, as one example of an app that is not using those APIs is Telegram and there seems to be no issues with it and eqMac. So it may be an issue outside of eqMacs control.

You can alternatively try changing Video settings in the menubar, first ensure both microphone and output are set to 'Use System Setting', if issue still occurs try setting microphone and output manually to ones you want and see if that helps.
