vmx-12 seams for me a good compromise in modern format and interoparability with old vsphere enviorments
yesterday i used up a lot of time trying to convert the ova file using virtualbox but failed with that (got even more errors that way like virtualbox machine type not soported or sth like this) in the end it was easier then thought, i used 7z to extract the ova (which is in fact a unix tarball file) modified the ovf file by decreasing the version value to vmx-13 and updating the checksum in the mf file, retared it with .ova extension and then it wokred out with our good old vsphere installation ;)
here are the modified files: 7zO83C71901.zip
and how it packaged it again:
so if you dont use features making vmx-14 necessary i would really appreciate providing the ova with the best compatibility
thanks in advance TN

Describe your issue as much as you can
hi,
i tried to deploy the latest lampstack vm https://downloads.bitnami.com/files/stacks/lampstack/8.1/bitnami-lampstack-8.1.27-r86-debian-11-amd64.ova using our vmware enviorment and got this error
i would appreciate if you would not use a ova format that is not working on with software versions
thanks in advance
