QR Code Scanning #451

The new version of the QR code scanner doesn't function adequately; on Android, it seems to launch the Camera app and save an image to the local disk (effectively taking a photo rather than capturing from the camera HTML5 API as before), and it doesn't seem to work at all on iOS (is this because Apple doesn't support intents, or something?)

I just tested live.insight.is with iOS 7.1 and Android 4.2 and both worked for me. Could you recheck?

How is the status? I just tried with my android 4.2.2 both stock browser and chrome and it did not work with https://insight.bitpay.com/

Stock browser gave me what martindale described but with altering errors. "Couldn't find enough finder patterns" and the other message is "Error locator degree does not match number of roots" which according to my reading means it's just not able to find a qr code but I'm sure it would find one immediately with the android native scanner when holding still like that and at that distance to the screen.

At later tries, the camera was not triggered.

I've also had issues with the scanning.
