BITCOIN lost

Hi All,

Novice level here and I'm not sure how to proceed. I send some BTC from my Copay wallet to another wallet (also mine) but I never received it.

Any help? How I should claim. Thanks, V.

• Please send us the BitPay/Copay Wallet ID and the transaction hash / ID or the link so we can further investigate and address your inquiry.

• To get your Wallet ID, open your Copay/BitPay application, then go to Settings > [Your wallet] > More Options > Wallet Information. On your phone, if you tap on the wallet ID it will copy it to the clipboard so you can paste it in your e-mail. You can do the same on your computer by clicking on the wallet ID.

• The transaction hash / ID is a alphanumeric chain like this: d0a23876de7cf87574b5cda7557bcc8af5d84f3fd1e6f4c6063fd6b72b0e69ae

I think I know what happened. On Saturday 18th I did 2 transactions for 0.1 BTC to other wallet ( 1KPJfuoRSxbmYaYBJ4GRHdG5QVdkXMLDLa) and only receive 1 transaction. I think maybe I miscopied a Copay "receiving" address instead the receiver ID wallet, from the clipboard. Very strange, anyway!

Please tell me if you need more information from me, and thank you in advance!

• 1L2jEbjRwb7TQRNm542iPQ2HgQHjG2YjZ5 does not belong to a Copay/BitPay wallet.

• The transaction does not involve 1ERnJ1qzZUcaxSi1bQ1cRBeRM6xCovsUG2 or 1KPJfuoRSxbmYaYBJ4GRHdG5QVdkXMLDLa.

2. 1ERnJ1qzZUcaxSi1bQ1cRBeRM6xCovsUG2 and 1KPJfuoRSxbmYaYBJ4GRHdG5QVdkXMLDLa are addresses, not wallet IDs.

Your are right I confused Wallet ID, wuth the addresses I got to send/receive funds.

• You cannot obtain the address 1L2jEbjRwb7TQRNm542iPQ2HgQHjG2YjZ5 from any Copay/BitPay wallet as the address does not belong to any.

Can you explain to me what could have happened? I did the same in the other transactions, and I did not have any trouble.

• You sent funds to many different addresses, all the transactions went through, the issue as we understand is that the funds have gone to a different address than the desired one. You (the user) provided the destination address (the wallet cannot make up an address) so the only explanation is that basically you have mistakenly entered a different destination address than the one you may have wanted to enter.
