Bit Project Olympics

Summary of Idea:

• Make a google form that specifies what department the person is from as a roster to see who’s competing

  Point system:

• Each event will have a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th place (based on which person per different department has the highest score per event)
• 1st place: 10 points
• 2nd place: 9 points
• 3rd place: 8 points
• 4th place: 7 points

  Games (15 minutes per game):

• Escape Room

• Each department has a representative that will enter the kahoot to choose answers
• Screenshare the escape room in respective breakout rooms so everyone can see the questions/answer choices
• In order to mitigate confusion in each breakout room, participants will use the chat function to voice what they believe is the correct answer
• Each breakout room will have a moderator
• Moderators (Davis officers) can be in a separate Google Meets/Zoom meeting to communicate with each other fluidly

  Kahoot on Bit Project Trivia

Team Pixel Recreation Challenge

• We will prescribe each department an image to recreate and they will collaborate on a Google Spreadsheet to draw the image

• Moderators (Davis officers) can be in a separate Google Meets/Zoom meeting to communicate with each other fluidly

  Code Emoji

• Make messages through emojis and have them decipher the code
• Have 3 levels of difficulty with 10 codes to decipher in each level
• Whoever has the most codes deciphered by time is up wins
• Spreadsheet with all the emoji codes and participants type in zoom chat to submit answers
• Put an “x” or checkmark next to the code once it has been guessed
• Once time is up, whoever has the most codes deciphered wins 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th

• Length of Event: 1 hour and 30 minutes
• Tentative date(s): August 15th, August 22nd (a week from the town hall)

Marketing:

• Announce in respective departments
• general as well
• Give 4 days to sign-up with Airtable
• Post in channels after 4 days are up
• Advertise in town hall
• Reach out to design team a week before town hall to design poster, talk to the leads to see if we can use said poster within slides, and then the slide content will give a basic overview of how the event will work
• Get graphics/flyers
• Make slides with olympic theme
• Mass-email marketing to Bit Project members
