Week 1 of 3: Getting Ideas on (MDX-Deck) Paper

Week 1 Checklist for Developers

• [x] By 4/8/20, have an outline of the slides and check in with Taimur
  • [x] @joeyhuaa will take responsibility of slides related to code and code explanations
  • [x] @JeffTheAggie will take more responsibility of general explanations, introduction, etc.
• [x] Focus (in terms of content and interactive activity ) should be on Postman. Assume basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS (don't focus too much of presentation explaining details of this - just high level overview).
• [x] Go through entire workshop
  • [ ] Make sure it completely works on your computer
  • [ ] Understand at a high level what is happening
• [x] Convert workshop idea into MDX-Deck Slides on bitprj/mdx-deck. This includes slides to convert
  • [ ] Make speaker notes for all slides
• [x] Add new interactive component
• [x] Finalize date and time of presentation (in Week 3) with Head of DelRev (Kevin)
• [x] General Slide Checklist Fulfilled (see https://about.bitproject.org/teams/developer-relations/future-workshop-plan#general-slide-checklist)

The above should be completed by Friday 04/10/20 or as early as possible. Please check off the boxes as you complete the work so I can keep track. I will provide feedback by Saturday, 4/11/20 at the latest. Please implement the changes by Sunday, 4/12/20.

The following is feedback that I have regarding the presentation uploaded to the personal repo. Note that your work should be pushed to the personal repo, but as you complete the work, please check boxes over here (in case anyone else wants to see your guys' progress)

• [x] A lot of text and images were being cut off when I ran the presentation on the browser. Please fix this ASAP (number one priority) as your hard work isn't being displayed!
• [ ] There are some typos in the presentation, so make sure to read through and ensure those are fixed
• [ ] Add speaker notes to the mdx file (see https://diycode.cc/projects/jxnblk/mdx-deck on how to do this). A lot of the slides have a lot of text. The explanations are well thought out, but each bullet point should be summarized succinctly, and the rest of the explanation should be transferred to speaker notes
• [ ] Add a transition slide, letting the audience know that they will be coding/exploring the interactive activity on their own. Right now, it kind of seems just like additional information you are going to present, but the focus should be on making sure the audience knows they will be doing the work!
• [ ] For the last slide, also include below code somewhere to let audience know that the title of the time series is coming from this. This code is located in the "How to Visualize Postman" tutorial, under the "Add ISO variable" section, under the "Tests" section.
