Just a few notes that came to my mind:

• last post you promised a solution to one thing. Would also be a good start for the intro (ah forget it just saw your note)
• would be nice to have the full story. Last post you had that example which maybe has a practical scenario?! Now you ask how you can put this in a real chip. So, you start to explain single gates as you did. Then you put all transistors together which hopefully can be sketched. Then you have a good example that it gets complicated very easily "Imagine how it would be for a whole processor". The consequence is that you need EDA. Something like this ...
• I can remember a picture showing engineers drawing a processor by hand in the very beginning. Maybe we can find and use it
• You are using the word current. Maybe you can simplify it by something like "The output pin is connected to the 5V, so you have 5 V at the output".
