Done 5/2:

In DNS settings created 4 new A records, left existing records (A, CNAME, TXT) unchanged.

TODO once changes propagate: step 3 & 4 from https://help.github.com/articles/setting-up-an-apex-domain/#configuring-a-records-with-your-dns-provider.
