wallet_merchant_protocol we use it extensively in the palmpay point of sale, but we also need to be able to see an account's qr code as well as the jdenticon.
PalmPay uses qr codes extensively to generate the qr for the customer to pay them with bts, bitassets, etc. what i need though is a way to see other people's qr codes.
merchants have asked if they could print up a whole sheet of all of their employees accounts in qr code format so that each month when they send out the employee bonuses and pension payments etc all they have to do is pull out that sheet of paper with everyone's qr codes on it, and scan, send, scan, send, etc.
Just as a note on this, it was discussed heavily in https://github.com/bitshares/bitshares-ui/issues/775 and resulted in BSIP-60.
I still think we should have something like this, and your ideas are sound.
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
If clicked "deposit", and chose "BTS", a QR code will show.
However, I can not choose "CNY" or any asset that is not linked to a gateway (e.g. GAT or CNC which were created and only exist on BitShares blockchain).
By the way, should the QR be compatible to BSIP60?
Describe the solution you'd like
A "Receive funds" page, maybe able to input an amount and asset type, an auto-generated reference ID as memo, with a link / QR code compatible to BSIP60. The "funds" word can be "tokens" or "assets" or whatever more appropriate. Please check typical payment apps (e.g. Alipay, Paypal) for prototypes.
