I'm not sure, but try these steps to reproduce the issue.

1) Use Google Password Manager 2) Create a new Passkey that will be saved in Google Password Manager 3) Switch the password manager to Bitwarden 4) Add a new Passkey to Bitwarden for the same site 5) Try to log in with the passkey in bitwarden

Using the passkey from Google Password?

Zoran-B commented 2 weeks ago

I apologize if I wasn't detailed in my description. The key being offered in my example IS from Bitwarden, but the name and the logo displayed on the top are of Google Password Manager even though it's not set as a password/passkey manager in the System settings. So, the system box that pops up, displays "Google Password Manager" and multicolour key, giving the impression the passkey offered is stored in Google but the key offered IS stored in Bitwarden. I'm not 100 % sure, but I think that previously the logo at the top of the box was either the Bitwarden logo, or just a small multicolour key without the "Google Password Manager" text.

Just to add, when you want to STORE a passkey, the box Clearly displays Bitwarden logo at the top of the box... Even though the passkey doesn't get stored on the website, but that's a whole different bag of shrimp.
