Steps To Reproduce

  1. In Bitwarden FireFox Addin having authenticated - Go to 'Settings'
  2. Click on 'Lock Now'

Expected Result

The expected result is this should lock Bitwarden vault. This is worked in previous versions last year

Actual Result

Screen flashes to screen heading Verify Identity (too quick to caputure screen) and changes quickly to Log In screen so user is logged completely out of vault requiring full authentican and 2FA (which I have enabled)

Hi there,

I attempted to reproduce your issue and was unable to do so. I think your error could have its origin in a local caching issue, a reinstall of the extension may help.

We use GitHub issues as a place to track bugs and other development related issues. If your issue persists, please write us back using our contact form, so we can continue troubleshooting: https://bitwarden.com/contact/

You can include a link to this issue in the message content.

Alternatively, you can also search for an answer in our help documentation (https://bitwarden.com/help/) or get help from other Bitwarden users on our community forums (https://community.bitwarden.com/c/support/).

The issue here will be closed.

Thanks!

Jack

I don’t understand how you have closed an issue without contacting me first?

I did as you suggested - deleted the add-in, I cleared the cache and restart fireFox and reinstalled the Add-in and the issue persists. Please reopen the issue.

Attached are emails from December where Bitwarden Support acknowledged it was a bug and multiple releases later its still outstanding.

Kevin

looks similar to https://github.com/bitwarden/clients/issues/5391 when timeout action is set to log out.
