unable to register passkey for Azure/EntraID/M365 #7696

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Go to 'M365 Account Security Info'
  2. Click on 'Add Sign-In Method' (might be translated differently)
  3. Select 'Security Key' and click on 'add'
  4. Maybe reauthenticate yourself
  5. Select one of 'USB' or 'NFC' device (both tested not working)
  6. Click 'next'
  7. Wait for the bitwarden pop-up and select the account you want to assign the passkey to
  8. Name the passkey (e.g. 'bitwarden') and click 'next'

Expected Result

Passkeys shows up in list and is usable for authentication

Actual Result

A generic error message is shown saying a problem has encountered.

Ran into this also when trying to set up BW passkey for Entra ID recently. Not sure why the issue would be closed out prior to it being fixed, but if you need me to test any of the authentication settings on the Azure/Entra side, let me know.
