Being forced to close the browser after logging in to the extension in a new tab #8761

Steps To Reproduce

Go to 'login page in new tab'（which will auto open）
Input main password and click on 'login'

Expected Result

Only close the login tab，not the browser

Actual Result

The browser（Edge）is forced to close

logging in the extention popup window works fine.
