My Directory Problems - Logging in and Installation #32

Hello Github and most likely Bjohnson/Ben,

I currently work for a company using phpMyDirectory (PMD for short-form here on). We were using PMD via its cloud-software approach. The company I work for never downloaded the installation process through the PMD website that is recommended in the manual at https://phpmydirectory.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PMDDOC/overview?homepageId=10748177. Around 4 days ago on Sunday, November 13 we realized the website access had an issue because it brought us to a screen that said "This page isn't working right now. canadianfitness.net redirected you too many times. To fix this issue, try clearing your cookies." After clearing my cache/cookies, it still brought us back to that page.

After that, I did some research and saw that this PMD has moved to an open software approach. That bjohnson has graciously taken up this project and is hosting it. I downloaded the files from his Github page but it is a foreign language to me. From my research it sounds like I need to be able to have the program that installs PMD, then input his code, then connect to the server that hosts our data and it should in theory bring back us to our website/directory through this new system.

I might be far off on how this program process works as well. While I enjoy computers and know-how some stuff works, but this is above my level. Before I reach out to a friend/programmer, I wanted to confirm what I think is the problem first and if possible even solve it myself.

Our main goal is to be able to access all the data/clients/invoices that we had accumulated over the past near-decade of using this program. We are currently hosting our Directory with Accomplish Hosting. I do not know if that information is useful to you or not. I look forward to hearing your responses and thank you for taking the time to read this as it is in many ways threatening our livelihood.

Have a wonderful rest of your week.
