It was rejected again:
1.1.3 Distinct Function & Value; Accurate Representation There was an issue with URLs included in metadata. Issue found in: Description https://www.kraken.com/redirect The links did not resolve to a functional website.
I resubmitted it with the following instructions:
This extension does not modify any of the pages that you visit. It's sole purpose is to intercept network requests intended for redirect services. It requests the bare minimum of access to these domains to protect your privacy and have the best performance.
PLEASE NOTE: All of the permissions listed in the manifest are for redirect services. Attempting to visit a redirect service without a destination URL or without following links from a page may give an error, this is expected behavior and has nothing to do with this browser extension.
To test it you can go to a YouTube video like -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4noKkupxlE
Click on the Show More button in the video description to reveal links which are using the YouTube redirection service like -- https://www.youtube.com/redirect?v=g4noKkupxlE&redir_token=QUFFLUhqbHhYTndGSTQyeU4yU2c0dTJlSUtNRllzQ0lsQXxBQ3Jtc0tsNDZwQjQ4MnBuQURIUTlzZzJNQlU4Mm9ya1dhVkMyVmlNZkJNNzZYcWJHeF85aTJjVVhSN1lRTE9Kc2ZLV1hSWWZqY25hY21vMmVDZHAyUWNSU2FvVFNudVlhOUpHeEdJVEcwZmdxMmx4YUtlZEV3TQ%3D%3D&event=video_description&q=http%3A%2F%2Fblizz.ly%2FTracersComicChallenge
Instead of the YouTube redirect service handling the network request, Intercept Redirect will handle it locally and instantly redirect it to the intended URL -- http://blizz.ly/TracersComicChallenge
You'll need to open up your Inspector to the Network tab to catch the network request turning into a 307 Internal Redirect instead of a 302.
For Kraken you can visit this page -- https://www.kraken.com/prices/gno-gnosis-price-chart/usd-us-dollar?interval=1m
You can see many links near the bottom of the page, some of them use Kraken's redirect service like -- https://www.kraken.com/redirect?url=https%3A%2F%2Fcryptowat.ch%2F
With Intercept Redirect your browser will not make a request to Kraken's redirect service and will instead instantly redirect to the intended URL -- https://cryptowat.ch
I don't know why Microsoft thinks this is helpful for anyone.

Who are they helping here? I attempted to publish with the following instructions:

ALSO NOTE: There are no "links" in the manifest or description. The description contains a list of domains that this extension supports. These are NOT links and are not intended for users to navigate to.

It was approved yesterday.
It took 2 weeks to get an update approved on the Microsoft Edge Add-on site.
I resubmitted with a new line in the description and the following instructions:
Let's see what happens.
