As we have no control of what version is packaged upstream, you have to file your request there, for instance at https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/gromit-mpx - but 1.4.2 is already packaged there, so you're better off upgrading your OS anyway.
If you want to use an up-to-date version on an older OS, https://flathub.org/apps/details/net.christianbeier.Gromit-MPX is probably better for you.
I don't have an old OS. I have Ubuntu 20.04. I don't know maybe it is outdated. Anyway I don't think it is very convenient to install another package manager (flatpak
) just to install one package.
If it is possible I still like to have newer versions on apt
. if not I understand.
Thanks for great work.
TL;DR: You have to ask the Ubuntu guys about it. I don't provide the .deb package, they do.
Ok Thanks!

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Package version in
apt
repository is 1.3-1.Describe the solution you'd like
I like the ability to install version 4 or even newer versions (upcoming 5) via apt.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Compiling it from source is complaining about a lot of dependencies and installing those dependencies does not guarantee that they won't be remove in the next
apt autoremove

Thank you!
