build.sh of v2.1.1 was completely useless, instead Jaxl pear, .deb, .rpm should be bundled with upcoming releases #35

- it looks for jaxl tgz file with capital letters
- why it looks like for tgz file if I have to extract tgz if I would like to
use build.sh
- in IF statement we should check if file or directory exists :)

BTW: If you dont mind I will prepare a proper patch and send you a diff.
Not sure if you already created PEAR package. If not I can do this.
Apart from that - great work :) keep going.

Hi Robert,

Yes build.sh was deprecated and you won't find it since 2.1.2. release. You may
want to check with github master repo which is latest and more stable than
2.1.1.

Yes a PEAR package.xml is something i was working upon a while back. However
didn't find to complete the same. Will appreciate if you can help getting out a
PEAR package.xml. If you need i can share the package.xml i worked upon a while
back.

Hi Robert,

Did you get a chance to create a Jaxl pear package?
2.1.2-rc1 is out which have no build.sh,jaxl.php etc dependency.
I am looking to work upon a Jaxl pear and .deb package to release with
2.1.2-stable release.

Well if you can really contribute with Jaxl packages for different build
system, it will be just too excellent for the whole community. Easy to install
is what most people look for when using such libraries :)

In a few days i shall upload http://jaxl.net web code base on github.
Thereafter you can simply fork out and add download links at appropriate place.
If you need to upload packages either here on googlecode or jaxl.net i can help
you out with that.

Meanwhile do let me know if you need any assistance from my end. I can either
work on .deb or pear package files probably in my spare time :)

hello,
unfortunately Im extremely busy :/ so far did not have a chance to take care of
these rpm packages. I hope I will be able to start working on this in about 1-2
weeks.
I will try to prepare packages for CentOS, Fedora and Mageia and maybe Mandriva
- we will see.
