The really useful comma and question mark behavior to remove the extra space on suggested word has lost in the July 3 2012 version

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Type some text, choose an auto suggested word
2. Desire a comma, press the comma (or question mark)

What is the expected behavior? 
Previous versions would back out the space after the auto selected word.

What do you see instead?
The comma (or question mark) is left in the text, so you backspace twice, once 
for the comma and once for the space.

What version of Hacker's Keyboard are you using? (See "Debug" section at the 
bottom of the app's Settings menu.)

On what phone or tablet?
Galaxy Tab 7" Sprint Froyo (2.2)

I should add that I am tapping the suggested word. It is not the first word, 
and I don't use the tapping the space bar feature.
