The geographic origins through phylogeography are determined based on what is available in the used data. Since this analysis was performed on the subsampled dataset there could be missing geographic information that would have changed the results. This is especially true for influenza which experiences less geographical clustering than other RNA viruses. These limitations should be highlighted.
