In discussion: Could the author speculate how more sequences from humans and animals, particularly recent ones, or sequences from other geographic areas (east africa, north africa, pakistan) would potentially impace their results?

Seems pretty out of the way as a request, especially for the discussion. We have a section in methods justifying the removal of Egyptian sequences, could discuss this there. Strong feelings either way?

This seems like a reasonable thing to address. Agree that it's tricky knowing where to place it in the text. I think the current placement in Methods is as good as we're going to get.
